MISE EN SCENE

 In the media, mise en scène encompasses everything within the frame of a shot, whether it is a film, a television show, or a performance. This would include setting, costume, lighting, placement of actors, and properties, all in relation to one another to create an overall atmosphere of meaning, mood, and character. Put differently, it is a description of how the different visual elements are arranged to recount something and tell a story.
