EDITING TESTS -180° RULE

 The 180-degree rule helps maintain spatial continuity in films by keeping the camera on one side of an imaginary axis between two characters or any two elements. Crossing the line confuses the audience in that it can make the characters appear to switch places. It is a basic rule, but filmmakers at times break it intentionally to achieve a certain creative effect.
